After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last six games, the Marysville Indians finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 39-25 bruising from Chico. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marysville has scored all season.
Marysville's loss came despite strong showings from Steven Martin and Elias Delozier. Martin scored two points along with five steals, while Delozier scored five points. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him.
Magnus Nielsen was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds for Chico. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Neugebauer, who scored four points along with five steals.
Marysville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Chico, their victory bumped their record up to 10-5.
