The Orem Tigers waltzed into their contest Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over Wasatch. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Orem also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.
Orem's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tate Robinson, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 2 assists. The contest was Robinson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax Allen, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Orem pushed their record up to 7-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Wasatch, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orem will face off against Maple Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Maple Mountain is ranked 35th, while Orem is ranked 31st). As for Wasatch, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedar Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 250 points over their last four games.
