The Bisbee Pumas entered their tilt with the Morenci Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Bisbee walked away with a 77-65 victory over the Wildcats on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jose Mendez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Anthony Molina, who scored 14 points.
Bisbee pushed their record up to 17-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Morenci, their loss dropped their record down to 21-4.
Bisbee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Morenci's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Vipers at 1:00 p.m. on February 3rd. San Miguel is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
