The Eastside Tigers took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 83-50 win over West Philadelphia.
Eastside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jahaan Green, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Long, who scored 17 points.
Eastside pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.33 points. As for West Philadelphia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mastery at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. West Philadelphia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chester at 5:00 p.m. on December 15th. Chester presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Philadelphia in Pennsylvania (Chester is ranked 158th, while West Philadelphia is ranked 347th).
