Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons posted their biggest victory since December 30, 2023 on Monday. Everything went their way against Argyle as Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons made off with a 61-38 victory. Given Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Argyle is ranked 570th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hartford Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They really took it to North Warren Central for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-19 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Hartford Central who now have three in a row.
Mckenzie Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Cailin Severance was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven steals.
Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Hartford Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons beat Hartford Central 47-37 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
