Pace had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Buchholz Bobcats with a sharp 11-4 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Patriots have won 18 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pace is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Buchholz, they moved to 30-2 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Pace will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
