Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devin Lavalais, who rushed for 174 yards and five scores, and also threw for 163 yards and one TD. Lavalais' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. Jayden Holmes helped out on the ground, rushing for 112 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Mansfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terrell Pegues, who rushed for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Pegues also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes. Jaterrious Howard was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.
