Brewbaker Tech is 1-7 against Holtville since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Brewbaker Tech has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Brewbaker Tech managed to slip by Eufaula the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams came up short against the Tigers on Saturday, falling 15-8.
Chris Lewis and Miles Williams stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lewis went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Williams went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Holtville fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Charles Henderson on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 4-3.
COLE PARRISH put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, KELAN KIMBRO made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Holtville's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Brewbaker Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
Holtville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Brewbaker Tech hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Holtville, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Brewbaker Tech's hitters?
Brewbaker Tech suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Holtville in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
