In what's become a running theme this season, the Bishop's Knights gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They claimed a resounding 64-23 victory over Valley Center on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-6.
Bishop's found their leader in underclassman Ayla Johnson, who scored 24 points. Moana Peterson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Bishop's is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Valley Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop's won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. St. Joseph Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Bishop's is ranked 160th). As for Valley Center, they will head out on the road to square off against Fallbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Fallbrook's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
