The Tome Titans will be playing at home against the West Nottingham Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Tome made easy work of Aquinas Academy and carried off a 77-51 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tome.
Tome found their leader in underclassman Herold Beljour Jr., who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Spencer Cain was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Nottingham had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They snuck past Providence Christian Academy with a 67-62 win.
Tome pushed their record up to 11-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for West Nottingham, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Everything went Tome's way against West Nottingham in their previous meeting back in January of 2020 as Tome made off with a 50-29 win. Will Tome repeat their success, or does West Nottingham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
