The Sahuarita Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 53-37 to Pueblo. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sahuarita in their matchups with Pueblo: they've now lost four in a row.
Sahuarita's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zack Myhre, who scored 8 points. Daniel Durazo was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
It was another big night for David Hernandez, who scored 15 points along with 9 rebounds for Pueblo. The matchup was Hernandez's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Marrufo, who scored 7 points along with 6 assists.
Sahuarita's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pueblo, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Sahuarita won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Safford at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Pueblo, they will head out on the road to face off against Douglas at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
