The Williston-Elko Blue Devils will head out to face off against the Calhoun County Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Calhoun County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Williston-Elko, who comes in off a win.
On Tuesday, Williston-Elko didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Blackville-Hilda, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Fighting Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Williston-Elko relied on the efforts of Shanya Mays, who posted ten points along with six rebounds and four steals, and Alyah Holmes, who shot 83% from the field to rack up 11 points and four blocks. With that strong performance, Mays is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.
Meanwhile, Calhoun County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The matchup between the Saints and Wagener-Salley didn't end well, with the Saints falling 45-27.
Williston-Elko will need to focus on slowing down Jamaryria McMichael, one of several Calhoun County players who made an impact when they last played. She dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. McMichael has been hot recently, having also posted five or more blocks the last four times she's played. Angel Dove was another key player, putting up six points and ten steals.
Williston-Elko's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Calhoun County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Williston-Elko has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 62.5% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Calhoun County, though, as they've only made 12.1% of their three-pointers this season. Given Williston-Elko's sizable advantage in that area, the Saints will need to find a way to close that gap.
