The Hemlock Huskies waltzed into their game Tuesday with 19 straight wins dating back to last season but they left with 20. They claimed a resounding 71-9 win over Nouvel Catholic Central on the road. With Hemlock ahead 50-2 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hemlock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Borsenik, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Krueger, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Hemlock pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Nouvel Catholic Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Hemlock will head out on the road to face off against Millington at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Nouvel Catholic Central will be home for the holidays to greet Swan Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st.
