Goose Creek extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-0. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 62-58 W against the Ridge View Blazers. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 56-47 win the Blazers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.

As for Ridge View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. On the bright side, the 58- point effort marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

When it comes to explaining why Ridge View lost, don't look at Emani English. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Ferguson, who scored 13 points.

Looking ahead, Goose Creek will take on Beaufort at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ridge View, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against River Bluff at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
