Southside had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Brackenridge Eagles by a score of 52-42. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Garciela Galvan was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten steals. Alisson Gonzalez was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 15 points.

Looking ahead, Southside is taking a road trip to square off against Burbank at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brackenridge, they will host Antonian Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
