The Gretna Dragons won the last time they faced the Bryan Bears, and things went their way on Friday too. Gretna simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bryan 45-5 on the road. That looming 45-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Gretna yet this season.
Gretna found their leader in underclassman Ava Mcartor, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Weberg, who scored eight points.
The victory got Gretna back to even at 4-4. As for Bryan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Gretna and Bellevue East will round out the year against one another at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at. Hopefully Bellevue East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Friday. Bryan will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burke at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
