The second installment of the High School Football Coaches Podcast featured Mazi Moayed of
Marin Catholic (Kentfield, Calif.), who mentored Super Bowl quarterback Jared Goff during his prep days.
How do you handle a mega-talent like Goff? Moayed tailored much of what his program did around the talents of the current Los Angeles Rams signal caller.
"I think you always have to adjust to what you do depending on what you have," Moayed told HSFC host Steve Montoya. "You have your system, but you need to be flexible enough to where you focus on which part of the system you need to adjust according to the talent you have.
"With Jared, he allowed us to do a lot of things. At the same time, a lot revolved around him. He made everyone around him relevant. He made everyone better."

Moayed has led Marin Catholic to seven league and three section titles. With Goff under center in 2012, the Wildcats went 14-2 and reached the Division III state championship game.
Prior to arriving at Marin Catholic, Moayed coached at three other Bay Area high school as well as College of Marin.
With the goal of being a go-to resource for coaches, check back each week as host Steve Montoya interviews those making a difference in the game.
