The Weeping Water Indians can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They breezed by Mead at home to the tune of 60-18. The team accrued 48 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Kalison Miller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Ridge, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mead struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Weeping Water pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Weeping Water has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Mead, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weeping Water will take on Sacred Heart at TBD on Thursday. Sacred Heart has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Mead, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Elmwood-Murdock at 6:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Mead: they have been struggling with 18 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Elmwood-Murdock has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
