Alma Center Lincoln barely beat Pepin/Alma the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hornets' pitcher stepped up to hand Pepin/Alma a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The Hornets not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.

Alma Center Lincoln got a massive performance out of Ben Ross, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Jay Stetzer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

The win got Alma Center Lincoln back to even at 1-1. As for Pepin/Alma, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Alma Center Lincoln and Pepin/Alma will both be playing Blair-Taylor the next time they take the field. The Hornets will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pepin/Alma will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
