Erwin hasn't had much luck against T.C. Roberson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will face off against the Rams at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Erwin put up the most points they have all season on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 76-75 to Enka. The Warriors were up 47-32 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the defeat, Erwin had strong showings from Jeremiah Norton, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds, and Jackson Davis, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 21 points and five boards. The contest was Norton's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Noah Houdham was another key player, putting up eight points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson fought the good fight in their overtime game against North Buncombe on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 85-79 to the Black Hawks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (67), the Rams still had to take the loss.
Erwin will need to focus on slowing down Dean Lowe, one of several T.C. Roberson players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Lowe is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 26 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was LaRon Mills, who shot 53% from the field to rack up 19 points.
T.C. Roberson's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-7. As for Erwin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Erwin has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like T.C. Roberson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Erwin came up short against T.C. Roberson when the teams last played back in February of 2025, falling 69-58. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lowe, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 13 rebounds. Now that the Warriors know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
