The South Platte Blue Knights gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-35 victory over Arthur County. For South Platte, this counts as revenge for the 68-42 loss Arthur County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
South Platte found their leader in underclassman Conner Evans, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashle Richards, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
South Platte's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Arthur County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
South Platte won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Minatare at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Arthur County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Creek Valley.
