The Foothill Knights will head out on the road to take on the Huntington Beach Oilers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Foothill was handed a 26-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They skirted past Laguna Hills 24-21. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Aidan Faraj was his usual excellent self, rushing for 170 yards and a pair of scores. Those 170 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Foothill's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Quinn Mulkerin, Matt Claytor Johnson, and Tavin Russell, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Huntington Beach beat La Habra 35-30 on Friday.
Huntington Beach's win came from a few key players Foothill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brady Edmunds, who threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Troy Foster also helped out with an impressive 143 receiving yards.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Huntington Beach, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Steel Kurtz, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Foothill's record is now 2-5. As for Huntington Beach, their record now sits at 6-1.
Foothill ended up a good deal behind Huntington Beach in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 43-29. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
