After flying high against the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies last Thursday, the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars came back down to earth. The game between Hinckley-Finlayson and Milaca wasn't particularly close, with Hinckley-Finlayson falling 60-43. Hinckley-Finlayson has not had much luck with Milaca recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Milaca's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brock Talberg, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Marudas, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Hinckley-Finlayson dropped their record down to 7-16 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Milaca, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-15.
Hinckley-Finlayson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-47 win vs. Proctor on the 8th. Milaca has also already played their next match, a 45-41 victory against Ogilvie on the 6th.
