The Boquet Valley Griffins lost to the Ticonderoga Sentinels back in February, but the Boquet Valley Griffins didn't allow the Ticonderoga Sentinels the same satisfaction on Saturday. Boquet Valley simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ticonderoga 67-39 on the road. With that victory, Boquet Valley brought their scoring average up to 54 points per game.
Boquet Valley had a senior duo take command as Jackson Hooper scored 23 points along with 8 rebounds and Ben Burdo scored 19 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Rice, who scored 11 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Boquet Valley and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Ticonderoga, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Boquet Valley will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chazy at 6:30 p.m. As for Ticonderoga, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Edward at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
