Rock Springs Christian Academy will take on the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rock Springs Christian Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Fullington Academy as Rock Springs Christian Academy made off with a 15-5 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Rock Springs Christian Academy needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Liam Buice made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Brandt Washington was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Adam McGinnis was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Rock Springs Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Creekside Christian Academy made easy work of Horizon Christian Academy on Friday and carried off a 10-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
Like Rock Springs Christian Academy, Creekside Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Carter Mcginnis. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Mcginnis gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Brady Mccadden and Trey Gatlin did most of the damage at the plate: Mccadden scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Gatlin scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Gatlin also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Zach Clark, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Rock Springs Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Creekside Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
