While Lausanne Collegiate didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Piney Woods Tornadoes by a score of 53-41 on Saturday. Those 53 points were actually the fewest the Lynx have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Lausanne Collegiate's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zuri McClure, who posted 11 points and seven boards. McClure is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 54% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. Calvin Pittman III was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

The victory was the third in a row for Lausanne Collegiate, bringing their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Piney Woods, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Looking ahead, Lausanne Collegiate is taking a road trip to take on First Assembly Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Piney Woods, they will host South Pike at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
