After two weeks on the road, Ossining is heading back home. On Friday they will take on Ramapo at 6:00 PM. Ossining are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
Ossining came up short against Port Chester last Saturday, falling 13-20. Ossining got a solid performance out of senior Joshua Manning, who rushed for 150 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. If you haven't heard Manning's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past six games.
Meanwhile, Ramapo have had to suffer through a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 38-30 win over Suffern. Maybe the Ramapo offense has finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance is a 180-degree turn from their last 4 games.
Ramapo's win lifted them to 1-6 while Ossining's loss dropped them down to 4-3. In their win, Ramapo relied heavily on junior Charif Lowery-Tatum, who passed for 268 yards and 3 touchdowns. Ossining will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
