The Horizon Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Desert Mountain 78-33. Horizon has not had much luck with Desert Mountain recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, Horizon still got an impressive performance from Craig Rodgers, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Burke, who scored six points.
Horizon has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for Desert Mountain, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
Horizon will head out on the road to square off against Cactus Shadows at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cactus Shadows presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Horizon in Arizona (Cactus Shadows is ranked 57th, while Horizon is ranked 203rd). As for Desert Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
