If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Mishawaka. On Friday they will take on Hobart at 6:30 PM. Mishawaka are coming into the matchup hot, having won six in a row.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Mishawaka ultimately got the result it was hoping for last Friday. They were able to grind out a solid win over Penn, winning 49-42. No one put up better numbers for Mishawaka than senior Chris Harness, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns. This marked the 9th contest in which Harness has rushed for over 100 yards.
After a string of three wins, Hobart's good fortune finally ran out. They have to be aching after a bruising 7-34 defeat to Lowell. Hobart's low-scoring defeat was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the game before.
Mishawaka's victory lifted them to 8-1 while Hobart's loss dropped them down to 7-2. The Mishawaka defense got after the quarterback against Penn to the tune of four sacks, so Hobart's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
