The Bucklin Red Aces's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past Attica with a 47-41 win. Given Bucklin's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Attica is ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kirk is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sydnie Jones, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.

Bucklin has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Attica, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucklin will take on Satanta at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Attica will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Barber at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
