The AIM Academy Wolfpack took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 66-54 victory over Kimberton Waldorf. That's another feather in the cap for AIM Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Kimberton Waldorf lost, one person who can't be blamed is Weston Devine. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds. Devine scored a full 35.2% of Kimberton Waldorf's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Colton Mailey was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
AIM Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kimberton Waldorf, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. AIM Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Delaware Valley Friends at 12:00 p.m. on December 21st. As for Kimberton Waldorf, they will head out on the road to face off against Mercy Career & Technical at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
