After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Ridge, the Winter Park Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 44-32 victory over Lake Nona. For Winter Park, this counts as revenge for the 49-18 defeat Lake Nona walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2021.
Winter Park found their leader in underclassman Maliyah Lockhart, who scored 20 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds.
Winter Park now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lake Nona, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing East River the next time they take the court. Winter Park will head out to face East River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lake Nona will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
