The Lakewood Lancers will face off against the Woodrow Wilson Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Lakewood sitting on three straight wins and Woodrow Wilson on five.
Lakewood took a 41-point loss the last time they faced off against Millikan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Lancers never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory last Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lancers have posted since August 23, 2024.

Jordan Montgomery was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 168 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 168 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Woodrow Wilson and Jordan have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Bruins simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 49-12. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won six games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Woodrow Wilson's win came from a few key players Lakewood will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jemel Grigsby, who rushed for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 72 receiving yards and one TD. Thomas Jones was another key player, picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Woodrow Wilson, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kyle Harris, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Woodrow Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Thursday's contest might be decided on the ground. Lakewood has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 154 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Woodrow Wilson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 180 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
