If the Red Lion Lions were riding high off their 66-45 takedown of the Conestoga Valley Buckskins on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Red Lion fell 41-34 to Unionville on Saturday. Red Lion was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Unionville apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2014.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madi Sechrist, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Reagan Smith, who scored 8 points.
Red Lion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Unionville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Lion's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chambersburg at 3:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Unionville, they will take on Perkiomen Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
