The Centralia Panthers won the last time they faced the North Callaway Thunderbirds, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Centralia put the hurt on North Callaway with a sharp 62-36 victory.
Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Riley Blevins, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Shryock, who scored 9 points.
The victory got Centralia back to even at 1-1. As for North Callaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Centralia will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Centralia is ranked 88th). As for North Callaway, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Silex at 6:00 p.m.
