The Pembroke Dragons were the 51-50 winner over the Elba Lancers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pembroke took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elba on Friday.
Pembroke lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayden Hootman, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Onolee Easterbrook, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Pembroke has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Elba, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Pembroke will be playing in front of their home fans against Webber at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elba, they will head out on the road to take on Attica at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
