Huntingdon has won four straight games at home, while Bellwood-Antis has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Bearcats will host the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Huntingdon 3.1, Bellwood-Antis 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, Huntingdon didn't have quite enough to beat Somerset and fell 5-4.
Mckaela Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Raelynn Fisher was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bellwood-Antis). They never let Greater Johnstown get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Friday. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.
Parker Martin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Palynn Gregg, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Bellwood-Antis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .559. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.
