The Flagler Panthers and the Byers Bulldogs will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Flagler fought the good fight in their overtime game against Arickaree on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison. It was the first time this season that Flagler let down their fans at home.
The match pitted two key players against one another: Jaylie Stone and JANIYA SMITH. SMITH had a great game and scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Meanwhile, Stone did her best for the losing side, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Byers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 69-24 win over Dolores Huerta Prep at home. That 45 points margin sets a new team best for Byers this season.
Flagler's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Byers, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-6.
