The Mountain View Christian Saints lost against the Sandy Valley Sidewinders back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mountain View Christian was dealt a 63-29 loss at the hands of Sandy Valley. Mountain View Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.
Damion Turner was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals for Sandy Valley. That makes it three consecutive games in which Turner has scored at least 25% of Sandy Valley's points. Christopher LeClair was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
Mountain View Christian now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sandy Valley, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Mountain View Christian will square off against Innovations International at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sandy Valley, they will be playing at home against Indian Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
