The Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Orosi Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wonderful College Prep Academy has seven straight victories, Orosi has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Wonderful College Prep Academy barely beat Summit Charter Collegiate Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves blew past the Bears 3-0 on Tuesday.
Wonderful College Prep Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-10.

Wonderful College Prep Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniela Macias, who had 12 kills, eight digs, four aces, and one block. Macias is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 25 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Khobie Magana, who had three digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Wonderful College Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are a perfect 17-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Orosi came up short against Farmersville on Monday, falling 3-0.
While Orosi was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Farmersville's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-22.
Wonderful College Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 21-8-2. As for Orosi, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-27.
Wonderful College Prep Academy took their victory against Orosi in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
