On Friday, the Palmer Ridge Bears's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged Coronado out 43-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Palmer Ridge also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Leading Palmer Ridge to victory were Jackson Bolko and Logan Boyer. Bolko scored 12 points, while Boyer scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Boyer has scored at least 25% of Palmer Ridge's points.
Coronado's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Realiti Smith, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lyrik Smith, who scored 8 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Palmer Ridge and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Coronado, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Palmer Ridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Garden City at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Coronado and Lakewood will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lakewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
