After two games on the road, Healdton is heading back home. They will take on the Wilson Eagles at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Healdton has not done well against Springer recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Healdton came out on top against Springer by a score of 40-30.
Healdton can attribute much of their success to Jamiel Franklin, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds, and Preston Wolf, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. The game was Wolf's third in a row with at least ten points. Cade Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Meanwhile, Wilson waltzed into last Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 49-38 victory over Elmore City-Pernell.
Their wins bumped Healdton to 4-1 and Springer to 5-3.
Healdton took a serious blow against Wilson when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 54-20. Will Healdton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
