Basketball Recap: Bluffton Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Bluffton came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 78-52 margin over the Wabash Apaches. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Isabella Stout, who went 12 of 18 en route to 27 points. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Maryn Schreiber, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards.

Several Apaches players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brookelyn Buzzard, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Daughtry, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 14 points and four steals.

Bluffton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. As for Wabash, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Bluffton will welcome Woodlan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bluffton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Woodlan likes a good challenge. As for Wabash, they will head out to take on Rochester at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
