Hastings (Minn.).

WBL was up 20-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Mehok to Anderson in the first quarter.
The Bears' most effective player was Anderson. The sophomore quarterback ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.
Brandon McCarthy made a difference for the Raiders. The junior quarterback ran for one touchdown.
Hastings' lone touchdown came on a 1-yard run by McCarthy in the fourth quarter.
Coming into the game White Bear Lake had allowed 19.2 points per game this year.
When the two teams played each other last season, WBL came away with a 7-3 victory.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Bears, which was coming off a 28-10 defeat at the hands of Mounds View in its previous game. The defeat comes as a step back for Hastings, which notched a 21-7 victory over Park in its previous outing.
White Bear Lake (5-2) will play a Suburban East game against East Ridge next week, while Hastings (3-4) will take on Stillwater also in a Suburban East game.
