Despite their loss, H&H saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Holden Switzer, who made all 6 shots he took for 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Switzer is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 83% in the last four games he's played. Jagger Regier was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fillmore Central was able to grind out a solid win over Superior on Saturday, taking the game 71-61. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
Fillmore Central's win came from a few key players that H&H will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Joey Stoner, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Koen Theobald, who shot 67% from the field en route to 16 points and five boards.
Fillmore Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Superior only pulled down four.
H&H's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Fillmore Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: H&H has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Fillmore Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.4 boards.
