Eden Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 242 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 111.4 rushing yards per game. Nevin Densel was another key player, throwing for 120 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dublin Scioto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 322 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Dublin Scioto didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Wayne Moore, Faraz Sherazee, and Brooks Marple picked up one apiece.
Meanwhile, Hayes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 26-25 heartbreaker at the hands of Westerville South. While losing is never fun, the Pacers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Wildcats are ranked 63rd).
Dublin Scioto will have to contain Jake Kruse as he made an impact in Hayes' last game. He rushed for 106 yards, and also caught one touchdown.
The victory snapped Dublin Scioto's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for Hayes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
