Beatrice hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight ) but thanks in part to Callie Schwisow that streak is no more. The Orangemen enjoyed a cozy 49-33 victory over the Duchesne Cardinals on Wednesday for which the team can thank Schwisow, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 13 boards. The game was her third in a row with at least 20 points.
Duchesne's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada James, who posted seven points and five rebounds. James has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Clara Towey was another key player, putting up six points.
Beatrice's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Duchesne, their record now sits at 11-14.
Beatrice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 39-38 victory against Skutt Catholic on the 28th. Duchesne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
