There's no place like home for the Mount Si Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They secured a 55-50 W over Mira Costa on Friday.
Mount Si got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Blake Forrest out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. The game was Forrest's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Hennig, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Mount Si's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Mira Costa, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.
Mount Si and Liberty will face off at 8:15 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Liberty knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Mount Si likes a good challenge. Mira Costa and Garfield will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Garfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mira Costa in their respective states (Garfield is ranked ninth in Washington, while Mira Costa is ranked 68th in California).
