The Kendrick Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Clearwater Valley Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
While Tigers fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. They put the hurt on Prairie with a sharp 17-5 win on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Hudson Kirkland was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Joha Hultman was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Clearwater Valley made easy work of Lapwai on Friday and carried off a 19-4 win.
Lincoln Barger made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Barger was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Barger is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Clearwater Valley got a massive performance out of Tanner Crosby, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Barak Meyer, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Clearwater Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .533 that Lapwai posted.
Kendrick got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Clearwater Valley by a conclusive 11-4 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
