After losing to the Frontenac Raiders the last time they met, the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Blue Valley Southwest walked away with a 57-49 win over Frontenac on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Blue Valley Southwest.
Lily Unruh continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Payne, who scored 11 points along with three blocks.
Blue Valley Southwest's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Frontenac, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Blue Valley Southwest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Baldwin is ranked 128th, while Blue Valley Southwest is ranked 139th). As for Frontenac, they will be playing at home against Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
